A Brief History

Howlett & Co was dreamed up as a design collective brainchild by architect couple, Rachel and Owen. Initially conceived as our future, imaginary furniture studio that would one day allow us to transition from architecture to a more hands-on design life, Howlett & Co has temporarily evolved to be more of an all-encompassing design blog that will hopefully allow us to one day segue back to the ultimate goal.

In the meantime, we hope to use this blog as a way to cover a wide range of design topics, from architecture and interior styling, to furniture design and all things plants. We hope to marry our eclectic style and love of antiques with our interest in craft, restoration, and design authenticity.

We recently bought our first home and will be taking on a total renovation of the house. Howlett & Co will follow along the process and document all the woes and hopefully successes of our renovation.
